IRISH'S DRAKE OF WILDFOWL BAY 'Drake'  Drake did not start showing until he was 6 years old. He earned a few points, then went back to his owners during hunting season. The following story explains why he never achieved his title. He was either lost or stolen that November. He was recovered the following April, the day before his 7th birthday. His owner had found him at a vets office, not the owners regular vet, while she was there picking up her other dog. |
(Ch. Irish's Mystical Merlin x Ch. Irish's Royal Princess Ashly)  The vets office had a flier with Drake's picture, name, tatoo number and owner information the entire time he was missing. The vet neutered him the very week he disappeared. He never bothered to investigate Drake's tatoo that he couldn't have missed during surgery. He also knew Drake was a 'found' dog by the people who brought him in, they were his regular clients. |
